Gods I'm a loser. *g*  But how can any SERENITY fan resist? I'm staying in touch with my inner child.

Yeah, that's it.

Please tell me you're not about to turn into a highly trained ballet ninja assassin?

Ironically enough, I've just been clipping from that scene for a vid...

LOL It's a pity I never eat lunch at all and never take food with me to work...hm...but I'm sure I could use it for other things too, don't you think?! *is tempted*

Does a thing have to be useful? Maybe you're allowed to buy things because they're shiny or pretty ;) Who's not to say it might not have inspirational uses, for example?

Na, that's not me. With the exception of very few childhood memories and gifts, I only have useful things in my flat (I even try to buy just shoes I actually wear, and this means something ;)) But that doesn't mean I can't be excited about those shiny useless things ;)

I know that excitement well ;) After all, I'm typically compulsive when it comes to collecting odd little shiny things.

So, that leaves a couple of options. First off, you could find a use for such a thing... carrying breakfast or lunch to work is one idea, or maybe it'd be useful for keeping things. I have a winnie the pooh shaped tin that came with sweets in, that I now use to keep loose change in. I've got boxes that bottles of whiskey came in that are full of pens, pencils, paintbrushes... do you have anything you could keep in a handy container of that size?

The other possibility is someone buying one for you as a gift, of course...

LOL, I'm just trying to be nice to my poor little bank account ;) After all I just bought a new 'puter to replace the old one that annoyed me one time too often...and my new hot stud PC will hopefully arrive next week.

New PC? I won't ask about the hot stud, because I'm all envious sweet and innocent, but I hope the new PC is going to give you satisfaction ;)

I keep debating upgrading mine, but there's no real reason to other than (maybe) some more HD space for vidding. Upgrading the motherboard, processor and graphics card just to play games when I don't actually play games much any longer seems like an unnecessary expense... but things are all so cheap now, given that my PC is three-four years old so what's cheap now was seriously expensive then...

What can I say? I'm a gamer chick and also love fiddling with lots of programs at the same time, so I seriously HAVE to have something hot, fast and strong to satisfy my needs, hehe ;) (and the PC IS my hot stud, I usually have longer relationships with my ever changing hardware than I have with people, I guess...)

Hot fast and strong, eh? And as much memory and HD space as possible, to ensure plenty of stamina? ;)

I know it's games that keep me thinking about upgrading. I really want to be able to buy and run things like NWN 2, or WH40K: Dark Crusade... but I really can't justify it. And I keep stamping on the little voice that points out that upgrading would make it easier to vid harder and longer...

And I have the impression we start to abuse this thread ;)

We are rather taking advantage of this poor innocent post. Maybe I should be paying more attention to the DW turns I'm meant to be doing... although Eliza Dushku would have to stop running around in Tru Calling wearing that red dress for me to regain my zen :P She's very distracting.

Ahhhhh

Help

Vidder gamer people have hijacked my post!

LOL just kiddin.

Seriously though - everyone should have a few shiny pretty things to give themselves a chuckle. Even if they're useless.

I will be using mine as a purse, or else keep at home so only 'special people' will see it. *shrugs*

A purse is a great idea IMHO...:D

The revolution has started ;)

Sometimes the value of something shiny is simply to be shiny...

So who qualifies as special people? As soon as you said "special", I thought "Jayne" for some reason...
