A new Variety column from Anne Thompson with nifty (unspoilery) details about how CLOVERFIELD was created.  And also this news about the Reel 13 Project which sounds like fun for us NY-area cinephiles.

Gregg Araki’s new movie SMILEY FACE playing at New York’s IFC Center…hopefully going this weekend.  (And hopefully coming to a Netflix envelope near you later this year…)  I'm a ginormous fan of Araki's NOWHERE and MYSTERIOUS SKIN.  Sexy, snarky, profound.

PS - Making me sad today:  Jon Robin Baitz ousted from BROTHERS & SISTERS?!?  Frak.  Well at least he's still blogging.

I wondered why I suddnely had a trio of new comments on that old alphabet post of mine :) Thank you! I think the long hiatus needs all the upbeat pilot moments we can manage, given the impending anticipated tidal wave of angst...

Now, I'm going to go read about the best of teh cute...

LOL

Yeah I needed to post that here in my LJ so I have easy access to it whenever the negative-shipper-spec, or the long hiatus of doom, is getting me down! *g*

Question for you don't know if you know or not, but seeing as how you know tons of stuff about the writer's strike figured I'd ask you first...how many epis of Sarah Connor Chronicles do they have? How many Lost? And how many SGA? Do you know...And do they have any Moonlight epis left? Just would like to know when my favs are going to leave...oh and Chuck to if you know...I'm guessing Heroes is done for a while...

I have an answer for you, kind of. It's part of a post I'll be doing this week about my winter viewing grid. Coming soon.

OK, I'm being SUPER LAZY about my hugemungous winter viewing post...and I just saw this, which answers your CHUCK question, go read it.

So I'll just say what I know about the rest: the new winter shows (TERMINATOR, LOST) probably have 5-10 eps banked from before the strike. I think I've read that they shot/cut 8 LOST eps before the deadline, and the start date is Jan 31! *joy*

I don't watch SGA, or MOONLIGHT, so no comment. But I bet MOONLIGHT since it's a new show, has run out of eps till strike is over. HEROES is definitely out of eps - which is why they announced that that last once we saw might end up being the de-facto end of season 2, depending on how long the strike goes.

Thanks for the info on Chuck, Terminator, and Lost, I kinda figured Moonlight was done, and I think I did know Heroes was done...I'll have to keep researching SGA. Thanks so much! I really appreciate it!
