MY TV PWNS RIGHT NOW.

It's all vaguely spoilery, so I'll put it down under just in case.

30 ROCK really is hilarious this season.  I am loving every second.

Icon request #1 -  can someone make an icon of Jack accepting the award at the "ceramic collectors" convention?  I almost choked on my scotch watching that scene! LOL

I am happy to hear that PRIVATE PRACTICE has received a full season order.  I am still enjoying it.  There was a lot of juicy conflict this week, and Violet/Cooper are too adorkable.  I love watching 40somethings-with-problems.  It soothes me...  And GREY'S?  Well Cassie is both annoying me and breaking my heart, Yang continues to fill Miranda's shoes quite well - and McDreamy continues to be seriously dreamy.  I have to admit I didn't think these guys could pull Meredith/Shepherd out of the fire at this point - but this new wrinkle handily solves that problem. (Also, fun to spot MAD MEN's Maggie Siff guesting on the show.)

Oh MAD MEN, MAD MEN.  You are in a league all by your lonesome, at the top of the heap.  I am so into this show it's starting to get a bit scary.  Perhaps I need to start a blog about it ("STERLING & COOPER SITREP"? *g*)  I am going to miss watching it, that's for sure.  The last two eps were delightful for a 1000 tiny reasons.  I will probably post again soon about that in more detail.  Any of you out there who still aren't watching it, you MUST give it a try.  I feel like I'm seeing a new replacement for THE SOPRANOS being born here - of course there's no KILLING, natch, so things aren't as intense.  But these are people that I personally can more easily cheer on - I never could fully accept the ugly folks in the Sopranos family (which was of course part of the show's intense appeal).  An odd echo on MAD MEN and TELL ME YOU LOVE ME this past week for me: wives on both shows (Betty and Katie) peeking at the secret lives of their husbands (phone bills/internet cache)...and then taking things to the next level (sending coded messages via their psychotherapist/investigating this whole MILF thing! lol).  TMYLM pushed the boundary in a welcome way this week, by showing intimate sex between two "over-50" (waaaay over) people.  I'm all for it, good for them!  It's quite inspiring.

A little bit more I've gathered for all you MAD MEN fanatics out there: this recent Christina Hendricks inty, a (spoilery) Matthew Weiner inty...and make sure you go here to see all the great footage from their season wrap party - in particular I enjoyed hearing the various cast talking about their favorite scenes from this season.  Farewell for now, MM.  (Btw: in today's header line, I decided to quote from the 2nd to last ep, rather than the last ep - just because that scene was so incredible.  My other favorite: “What misconception traveled down the road and made you want to be here? A movie?")

Icon request #2 - does anyone know where to get MAD MEN icons?

Last night's RAZOR flashback was so awesome that I watched it about 8 times in a row, mainly to absorb all the gorgeous special effects and battle details.  I hope you guys can all see it on TV or at least on a hi-res video DL, the FX work is so detailed and I'd hate to hear you cannot see everything.  Such intensity in just 2 minutes!  Adama's flying skills pwn...and THE SNEER.  Holy shit.  This guy playing Adama is doing a great job.  We've seen many battleships explode on this show - but never while listening to the screams of the dying on comms.  That was brilliant.  Adama's mad flying skills in the planet atmo were impressive - though the similarity to Starbuck's MAELSTROM flying gave me a heavy feeling in the pit of me tummy.  A great bit of film, all told.

Sorry I haven't caught up with the rest of the week yet. Ha!  I still have a new FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS, UGLY BETTY, PUSHING DAISIES, DIRTY SEXY, and CALIFORNICATION to go.  That and trying to hit the Metropolitan Museum of Art's newest exhibits and catch me some NYC fall foliage in the park...and maybe a movie...*head explodes*

For Mad Men icons, I quite like the ones here.

I love that show too. It really grew on me. I didn't like the pilot so much, but then they started to dismantle the lives of the male characters bit by bit, and now I'm so unhappy it's over. At least there will be a season 2!

Also, I do not know the story behind this Mr Brusselsprouts icon but it seems strangely appropriate.

YAY!

I'm all set now...went overboard and posted 6 new icons. Thanks for that!

And yeah, I've always wondered bout the brussel sprouts boy. Heh.

That was intense, when the Beast died at least she was empty.

Yup...and I guess Adama's girlfriend is dead now. For sure.

Depends on the time lag between clips.

I missed he was on the Columbia.

Don't get too jealous...all this global-climate-change weather we're having has stalled out the colors of fall. Most trees are still green, and some are going straight to brown/dead.
