I didn't watch THE X FILES back in the day.  I didn't get all giddy watching these two do their little dance around each other.  But I have to say, even though this is not my fandom, if I saw these magazine covers...I would just lose it.  Can you imagine if Katee Sackhoff/Jamie Bamber, John Krasinski/Jenna Fischer, or Matthew Fox/Evangeline Lilly, showed up in a photo shoot like this?  I'd have a fangirl meltdown.

And, as a more current afterthought: there's also this.  Anderson you KINKY DEVIL.  *giggles*

Hee...I did (and still do) watch the X-files back in the day and although I can't say I was a rabid shipper...these covers are just so them. LOL

I was, er, *checks the date on the cover* 13 when the Rolling Stone cover came out and it was freaking PHENOMENAL. Ahhh, X-Files. Baby's first fandom!

As for the other, more current fannish couples? I - I don't know whether to thank you for putting the idea in my head or not because YES.

It was a trip. When the Aussie RS cover was released I actually got on the phone to the Rolling Stone offices to try to wrangle myself a copy; then asked a colleague in our Australian office to go to the newsstand for me as well. Hey, it worked. :) But yeah -- MANIA.

And that US issue has always been one of my favorite photo shoots. I love the mouse pic.

I had that one of her licking him on my wall. And there are AMAZING super sexy picks inside, too. ;) (And a hilarious one of DD in a housewife outfit and GA in a suit holding him because he sees a mouse.)

The Rolling Stone cover was SO HUGE for the fandom back then! GAH!!!!! I was in Australia when it came out and I literally remember standing at a newsstand, trying to look at the pictures inside but the dude shooed me away because I needed to purchase it to look inside. WTF EVER!!! :P

Hey PG...just checking in with you and what do I see? Ah the XFiles....my all time favorite show. I wasn't even a shipper. I was more of an anti shipper. So these covers just made me nervous!

I CANT WAIT for the movie...SO FRAKIN excited. I wish they would have been at Comic Con last year in SD...oh well. The pirated preview on YouTube looks amazing!

Totally OT: Casting Director workshop I was in last week was the CD for BSG Mini and one of the scenes he handed out was the SBUX/APOLLO scene 'Zak didn't pass basic flight'...sadly, it wasn't my scene, but I SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED! :-)

Why hello there my dear. Nice to see you...I was wondering where you were, hadn't seen ya post in a while. Hmmm, you were an "anti-shipper"...does that mean you hoped they would just preserve the sexual tension by NEVER changing the relationship on the show? I could understand that.

RE that casting info...that's both cool, and a nice sign that BSG has been absorbed into the H'wood community as quality stuff. I hear that, or things like the Favreau thing I posted here, and I know it's become true.

BTW, if I came to Comic Con this year, will you be there? I am considering going out and would definitely want to see you if possible, either at Con, or just in LA...you're not going to D*Con are you?

Yeah. I have to admit it was really nice to just see how close they were as truly BFF's in the purest form of the word. And Chris Carter told us that was the case. He was NOT going to have it be a romantic relationship. So since I knew that deep friendship was a sure thing, 'No strings attached, No guilt involved, a sure thing', I just really enjoyed it.

But alas, it was not to be and now I don't know how I feel about it...so messy, romantic relationships! I like my XFiles slimey and scary NOT messy!

I would LOVE to meet you at Comic Con!!!!! We are still in the planning stages of our trip so let me know!

Oh and as far as Skiffy goes, I have zero idea what's going on. I pretty much stopped going on the board in the last few months. I realized that a) it was kind of a time management SUCK and I never got anything done if I was on and b) we were rehashing the same piece of minutia to the point where I wasn't even sure it was still the same piece of drama we originally watched...so by default I am blissfully semi=spoiler free!
