It would have been a really interesting place to take Kara's character--I can definitely see her as kind of a Cain Jr. on Pegasus. And she hasn't been able to explore her ability to command and exert power much outside of the whole CAG and pilot instructor role.

But I imagine her personal relationships would have been downplayed in favor of the politics/duties of high command (as Lee's were). New Caprica really sucked for Kara but it took her character a lot of fascinating emotional and psychological places.

But then again, I am a sick little fangirl who likes angst entirely too much

Bamber is pretty cute (and smart, damn him) when he babbles though. I get a big kick out of the idea of him as a script-writer.
