proggrrl: (BSG/BtVS cylons!)
Posted by MrsRon (aka Terry Moore) at the skiffy BSG forum this morning:

"Ron went to a dinner last night at the con, given by Frank Darabont. He sat next to Joss whedon and John Michael Strazintscki (spelling ?), both are huge fans of BSG. Had a great time.
You may find him wandering the floor today, before the BSG panel starts."

Well I've been picking through the mountain of coverage of ComicCon...fun stuff!  Wish I was wandering the halls running into Ron Moore or Joss Whedon. Or Matt Groening, Steve Carell, JJ Abrams...well, you get the idea. *g*

- Of course they unveiled the CLOVERFIELD teaser poster, which looks great.  BUT - you knew there'd be a but - I was wondering if this photo of a poster "found" earlier this week, with a title MONSTROUS, was real, a hoax, or a new form of meatspace viral marketing.  Harry Knowles apparently knows best, we'll see.  It's amazing how much I care.  Right away MovieBob considered the poster's 9/11 imagery.  Hey - if WAR OF THE WORLDS can do it, why not.

- Loving the SWEENEY TODD poster…I’m not a huge Sondheim fan but I’m a Tim Burton devotee from way back (PEE WEE!), and the idea of a razor-toting Johnny Depp and human-meat-pie-cookin' Helena Bonham-Carter, all gothed out and singing? Well, sign me up!

- More news about the FARSCAPE minisodes.

- News about the BLADE RUNNER: FINAL CUT DVD, and a TWIN PEAKS box set that supposedly will include "a rare roundtable discussion filmed between the series' cast and Lynch”? EEEEEP *bouncy*

- I hate teaser trailers that are all graphics and dialogue (or advertising copy read by a voiceover guy), so THE DARK KNIGHT teaser trailer they premiered at SDCC is a bore.  But I love BATMAN BEGINS and can’t wait to see Heath Ledger in this one.  He does sound like Nicholson a bit, eh?  Also their viral at the con was creative.

- New photos of Ali Larter kicking ass with Milla!  Love Milla's garters.  These movies are so bad, so trashy – but I can’t stop watching them! Help!

- I will admit, even though I don't have a ton of interest in BEOWULF, the CGI does look amazing.

- These guys are hilarious (two Londoners liveblogging the entire Con)!

- The various Twitter updates are not helping me much, not detailed enough.  But IGN, SciFi.com, and TVSquad/Cinematical seem to be doing the best job of keeping up with all the news.
