Let's pray.

Flist I have been pondering Joss Whedon today, because I was looking at Jane Espenson's blog entry about BSG, which led me to re-read Joss's amazing recent feminist statement.

Let's all bow our heads for a moment and pray for something: HBO, YOU AND JOSS WHEDON NEED TO GET TOGETHER.  Joss needs to make something for you.  Joss needs to do some TV again.  Right away.

And maybe Nathan Fillion, who continues to enthrall me, will be involved.  And Gina.  Gina Torres is the spark of continuity for me today between La Femme Nikita and Jossverse (and Alias! and The Matrix series!).  Small, but it's there.  Plus, she's just made of serious awesome.

Something completely different: here's a really cute vid of my friend's dog Flop competing at an "Agility Trial" (aka doggie athletic events that are like horse shows).  So cute.  Apparently you can get cats to run agility trials as well.  Indoors only, one assumes.  Hee!

The "Freaky Friday" Faith/Buffy ep is one of my favorite eps of BtVS, as well as Bad!Willow and Bad!Sunnydale eps, and I'm a huge fan of the movie FACE OFF so...'nuff said.

Blade Runner: The Final Cut

I cannot, cannot wait for this. 

Revolutionary.  I still remember my father taking me to see this in a sold out Manhattan theater in midtown when I was a preteen.  It was so crowded, and we weren't there soon enough to get decent seats.  We sat in the third row all the way on the far right, the screen was practically in my lap.
