I ordered S1 of FNL on DVD, so that means it's going to be cancelled. it's some sort of law the studios observe :P

Given that NBC is talking about abandoning the pilot season and that all the networks have taken a bit of a bashing on the public opinion front, I think it'd be worth their while to keep some sort of critically acclaimed loss-leader onscreen, just to genereate good press.
